This card is actually for a card lifting group I joined -- you get a card to "lift" or copy...once a week, and see what you come up with. One of the best parts is making the original card idea into something entirely your own. For the most part, it's made me think outside the box -- because soooooo often the cards we are lifting are totally not my style!!! But it keeps things interesting -- and keeps me challenged. :p
This is the latest card I made -- LOL -- about the only thing that I lifted from the original card was the half circle in the center. I love how it turned out though...
>> used all supplies from my stash.
How do you make various sized circles? Do you have to have some sort of circle punch for that?

This is really gorgeous - I love your blog. Sorry I have not been around in a while. I also wanted to wish you a very Happy New year - if I have not already done so.
ReplyDeletek, thec, it seemed so simple when you described it but i went to try (the circle thing) and had some problems:
ReplyDeletei cut out the first circle, plain. glued it to a second page, then tryied to cut both layers with fancy scissors... it wasn't right, i could tell but.. what did i misunderstand??
okay, i'll try again. but my original problem with circles was that it's kind of impossible to get a perfectly edged circle with a scissor. I'm just wondering if it pays to buy a circle punch.
ReplyDeletethanks:)
Beautiful card, I love the colours. What a great idea to lift a card and do your own take on it. I might go and have a look at the site and take part.
