For a Sad Occasion

Hi guys. Today I have a very simple card to showcase. Nobody likes making cards for sad occasions, but it's during those times when a card from a friend helps and means so much! Just letting someone know you care -- what better reason could there be to send/mail off a card?

I used the Stampin Up "Thoughts and Prayers" stamp set again. I love love love this set! It's so versatile! :) ...and it makes even the simplest cards look striking. I also embossed the background with my Victoria embossing folder to give the card a little texture. Finally, I added two punched out butterflies (not sure of the punch name or brand) from my stash and added some bling to make them pop a little. :)

I also added pop dots to the whole card...just to give it a little dimension and keep things a little different. I love how it turned out! :)

I found a few challenges to enter this card into:

The Cuttlebug Spot is having a "What's on Your Desk?" challenge. Here's what I found lying around...and decided to get another card made with the Stampin' Up stamp set. :)

  2. Hi Divinity! This is just beautiful, and I love this shade of blue. You really did an amazing job, and I feel so lucky and blessed to have you share it with us in this week's challenge at Word Art Wednesday. I can't find anything here on your blog about where you live, but I'm hoping it's in the U.S., cuz I'd like to mail you a bit of my handmade scrunched seam binding to use on your sweet cards. I think you would enjoy it, and I'd love to send you some. You can find my email address on the Word Art Wednesday blog and let me know.

I do need a favor, if you get a minute. If you could please go to:
www.redcarpetstudiochallenge.blogspot.com and in the right-hand side bar where voting is taking place, under the category of Punny Card Projects, please vote for me (Karen). I need all the votes I can get, so anyone who sees this, please vote for me - I would GREATLY appreciate it.

Thanks again for sharing your beautiful cards with us in our challenges at Word Art Wednesday. This one is just lovely, and I SO enjoy seeing the creative cards you make, and I consider it SUCH a blessing when you link them up with us. I hope it also blesses you when you play along. I pray for all our participants, for God's blessings on them as they create what He lays on your hearts. Please know how very grateful I am.
