For My Mom with Hearts

Hi guys. I have another card to share. I finally got time to make my card for my mom for Mother's day. It was a little out of my comfort zone cause it's not as CAS as my usual cards, but I'm loving it more everytime I look at it. Hopefully my mom will like it as well. :)

A friend of mine sent me this word art she made a few years ago. I loved the sentiment, but didn't like the wordart the way she had created it. So I created my own sentiment using the quote she had sent me.

I wanted to incorporate hearts into the card, so I punched a border with the Fiskars Heart border punch. I added bling to accent the hearts. I love love love it!!! :)

I created the flower myself -- using four different punches. And of course I added a butterfly...just cause butterflies are always sweet. :)

Here's the full card. Love all the sparkle! <3 p="">

Thanks for coming by. :)

It's about the Sentiment

Hi guys. So I have a few minutes to show off a card I made this week. It's a Sympathy/Thinking of You type of card -- never a fun card to make, but one we require all too often. So I always like to have them in stock....

Today's card features one of my favourite stamps for this type of card. I'm actually not sure exactly what the stamp set it called (I borrowed it from a friend and stamped a few extra sentiments for when I want them in the future)...but it's a beautiful sentiment.

I also used a border embossing folder that I haven't used in much too long. I always love adding textures to my cards...just a bit more detail. :)

So here's the card:

One Sheet Wonder

Hi guys. I saw the Simon Says "Happy Birthday" challenge...and since I have a birthday card in my "One Sheet Wonder" card set that I made, I decided to do a quick post. :)

I had a lovely sheet of paper with some foil (that shines) that I finally decided to cut up and use for some cards. It's been in my stash forever, and I just haven't been able to bring myself to use it! So I took the plunge...and made the first cut... :p

Here's the set of cards I created (very CAS).

I managed to capture the shine on the paper!!! :)

Here's the individual cards:

"Thank You":

"Birthday":

"Wedding/Occasion":

"Thinking of You":

Die Cuts and Bling

Hi guys. I'm back to showcase a card. :) I found a card on Pinterest...and fell in love with it. :p So today I'm showcasing my take on it.

It's a white on white card, which is something that I don't do a whole lot of...just cause I love colors so much!

I used a die set by Spellbinders called "Floral Ovals". As you can see, I added some dimensional foam behind both die cuts...so they dies "pop" more...as it's all white cardstock.

I stamped a cross image from my Glory of Easter" stamp set in aqua...and then the sentiment by "Stamping Up" set  in black. Then I added aqua bling around the oval.

Finally I layered it all onto a "Swiss Dots" embossed background.

I love how it turned out. White on white...with just a splash of color. :)

Thanks for coming by my blog today. :) Hope you're enjoying the springtime...I sure am! :)

Scraps of Paper

Hi guys. I have another card to showcase using the Stampin Up "Thoughts and Prayers" set. Have I mentioned that I LOVE this stamp set?!!! LOL

I'm trying to use up some scraps of designer paper from my stash...so I tried to incorporate some designer paper into my card. It turned out well, I think.

I stamped the cross image on some white cardstock and fussy-cut around it. Then put it on some dimensionals. I also stamped the sentiment on some vellum paper and put it over the cross. I love the look of vellum on cards! And this is a great way to clean up vellum scraps as well. :)

I used a  double edge border punch from Martha Stewart called " Doily Border" and added some bling to the center of the flowers. Sweet and Simple card. :)

Paint Chips for a Card

Let's think outside the box for a moment. Paint Chips... who says they're just to look at? Why not USE them instead of throwing them away??? Recycle!!! :)

So that's what I did...after all, it's perfectly good paper going to waste otherwise....

I simply cut out some squares with three of the coordinating greens...

stamped an image on them...

and created a card...

I absolutely love it!!! Paint Chips have taken on a whole new meaning with me!!! :)
