Happiness Always

Today's card is a wedding card I made. I love making wedding cards sparkle -- so the more bling I can get on a wedding card, the better I feel. LOL

I used an embossing folder....and added bling to every single little flower. It's a cool effect, and I can add a pop of color to the embossing.

challenges for my card:

It's a Leafy Cross

Hi guys. I'm back to share another card.

This time I used the Darice Cross embossing folder. I love working with this folder! It's beautiful and it doesn't need a bunch of anything to make the card look amazing.

I also used a leaf clear stamp that I've had in my stash for years, but never really found a way to use it (I don't like the stamped image all that much on it's own). So when I saw this idea on Pinterest, I decided to give my leaf stamp a try.

I embossed the white cardstock first, then stamped the green leaves image (masking the cross)....and finally took some black ink and simply went over the embossing...and the words popped out! Simple and lots of fun! :)

My Valentine

Hey guys. Just a quick post with my valentine's card for my hubby. I used a Die cut I've had in my stash for over a year and just never got around to trying it.

Of course I had fun  and had to bling it up. All things look greater with a bit of sparkle. :)

I put everything onto dimensional dots to make it pop.

Here's a full view:

Birthday Gifts

Hi guys. Another birthday card to showcase and enter into challenges. Today's card is basically using up scraps. It was a little out of my comfort zone, but I had fun with it....and I think I'll be making more of these in the future. They're cute and simple....and clean up a few scraps!!! WIN WIN WIN!!!!! :)

conGRADs

Hi guys. It's Graduation season again. :) So today I have a grad card to showcase. It's pretty simple, but I like them that way. :)

Basically all I used was various scraps from my stash...and threw on a diploma sticker...and finished it off with a sentiment stamp (from the dollar bin at Michaels). Simple, but to the point. :)

Happy Graduation graduates! And hope the rest of you have a great day. :)

Cross with a Flower

Hi guys. I have another favourite card to show off today. :) Like last time, I used the Darice cross embossing folder -- did I mention before what a big fan I am of the folder??? I love it!

Today's card is a lot simpler, but the embossing folder is so striking all on it's own, that you really don't have to do much else to make the cards stand out! Simplicity...and yes striking! Love CAS cards that come together so quickly!

And it's always a plus when I get to use scraps or punches/dies from my stash.

thanks for dropping by my blog. :) Have a great day! :)

Cross with Words

Hi guys. Today  I have a "favourite of the year" card to show off. I created this card for my brother and I'm absolutely thrilled with how it turned out!!! A friend of mine had offered the embossing folder to me before, but I thought the embossing was too big for my cards,so I never tried it. Then I decided I wanted a big cross on my brother's card (it's for his baptism)...and decided to give the embossing folder a try....

the folder itself  is 5.75"x4.25" which is the exact size of my cards...and I really didn't want to make my cards any larger...but I cut out the cross...and it became just-JUST small enough to fit onto my card! WHEW!!!

and now I'm such a big fan. I'm getting one of those for myself -- I love it!

So anyways, enough with the ramblings -- here's the card.

I used dimensional foam behind the cross to lift it a bit...as well as behind the dove image (which is a Stampin Up stamp btw).

So that's my card for the day. Thanks for stopping by and your sweet comments. :)

It's about the Sentiment

Hi guys. So I have a few minutes to show off a card I made this week. It's a Sympathy/Thinking of You type of card -- never a fun card to make, but one we require all too often. So I always like to have them in stock....

Today's card features one of my favourite stamps for this type of card. I'm actually not sure exactly what the stamp set it called (I borrowed it from a friend and stamped a few extra sentiments for when I want them in the future)...but it's a beautiful sentiment.

I also used a border embossing folder that I haven't used in much too long. I always love adding textures to my cards...just a bit more detail. :)

So here's the card:

Thanks for stopping by...and your comments are always appreciated. :)

One Sheet Wonder

Hi guys. I saw the Simon Says "Happy Birthday" challenge...and since I have a birthday card in my "One Sheet Wonder" card set that I made, I decided to do a quick post. :)

I had a lovely sheet of paper with some foil (that shines) that I finally decided to cut up and use for some cards. It's been in my stash forever, and I just haven't been able to bring myself to use it! So I took the plunge...and made the first cut... :p

Here's the set of cards I created (very CAS).

I managed to capture the shine on the paper!!! :)

Here's the individual cards:

"Birthday":

"Wedding/Occasion":

God Bless You

Hi guys. I've been working on some cards the past week...and finally found a few moments to post one for you. :)

I have a new (for me) Cuttlebug folder that I've been wanting to use...but haven't had much success with using it on a card. It's a border folder...and it kind of requires a focal image in the center. This is what I came up with...

I used a stamping set from Stampin Up that I absolutely LOVE!!! I stamped the image...and then cut it out...and added some dimensional foam behind the cross to lift it a bit.

I also added some vallum which I stamped with the sentiment.

LOVE how it turned out...and I'll be sure to use this sketch a lot in the future! :)
