Flower Dies

Hi guys. Whew! Summer has flown by and no card making! I've been busy doing other things -- garden work and spending lots of time outdoors with my two little boys. Making memories. 😀

I've been wanting to try working with some Spellbinder dies I've had in my stash for over two years. I've just never found a way to incorporate them into a card, and they're too pretty to not use. I've finally come up with an idea that worked....and I absolutely love the result.

Here's my card:

I used dimensional foam on the flowers and the embossed cardstock so the card has a lot of dimension to it (you might not see it too well on the photos though).

So that's my latest creation. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you're having a great summer! :)

Happy Mother's Day

Hi guys. It's been awhile, but I haven't really been making cards recently. Until I remembered Mother's day was coming up in a few weeks, and I needed a couple cards to send off. So I sat down...and made a card completely out of my comfort zone!

I don't have a Mother's Day stamp, and my printer isn't working, so I had to come up with another idea for my sentiment. I ended up creating one using three different stamps! And it turned out great! :)

I used some cut out flowers from my stash...and some coordinating disigner paper (I cut the flowers from designer paper awhile back, but I'm not sure if these two papers are actually from the same line or if they just fit together VERY nicely!) Either way, it worked. And here is my card....

Most of the flowers have dimensional tape to make them pop more.

So that's my latest card. Hope you're having a great spring! :) Happy crafting.

Happiness Always

Today's card is a wedding card I made. I love making wedding cards sparkle -- so the more bling I can get on a wedding card, the better I feel. LOL

I used an embossing folder....and added bling to every single little flower. It's a cool effect, and I can add a pop of color to the embossing.

challenges for my card:

It's a Leafy Cross

Hi guys. I'm back to share another card.

This time I used the Darice Cross embossing folder. I love working with this folder! It's beautiful and it doesn't need a bunch of anything to make the card look amazing.

I also used a leaf clear stamp that I've had in my stash for years, but never really found a way to use it (I don't like the stamped image all that much on it's own). So when I saw this idea on Pinterest, I decided to give my leaf stamp a try.

I embossed the white cardstock first, then stamped the green leaves image (masking the cross)....and finally took some black ink and simply went over the embossing...and the words popped out! Simple and lots of fun! :)

My Valentine

Hey guys. Just a quick post with my valentine's card for my hubby. I used a Die cut I've had in my stash for over a year and just never got around to trying it.

Of course I had fun  and had to bling it up. All things look greater with a bit of sparkle. :)

I put everything onto dimensional dots to make it pop.

Paper Tearing

Hi guys. I'm back with another card.

I love trying different techniques when it comes to my cards. One technique I don't use that often (but always love the effect when I do) is paper tearing. It gives the paper edge a bit of a different look...and I discovered that inking up the torn edge makes it stand out even more! Love it!

So here's the card.

I had some amazing textured red paper in my stash that I've been wanting to use. I tore about 1/3 of a corner off...and then inked along the edge to make it pop even more. Stuck that onto some white cardstock that I had embossed with my "Swiss Dots" folder. Finally I added the image...with dimensional foam. And to make it all come together, I added some red ribbon and some black bling from my stash. :)

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Be sure to leave a comment and I'll come visit your blog. :) I always love to hear what you think of my cards. Feedback is always appreciated. :)
