Circle Circus

Hi guys. I love Stampin' Up stamps. They're just really expensive -- kindsa out of my price range right now. A few weeks ago I was the lucky winner of a blog candy that happened to contain not just one, but THREE Stampin' Up stamp sets!!!!!!!! Yes, I was excited!!!!

Today I want to show a card I made with one of the stamp sets. This one is called Circle Circus. Basically it's a set of various circular shaped stamps.Using various ink colors I stamped randomly...

Here is my card:

I think I used 6 different colors of ink before I was satisfied!!!

I absolutely love this stamp set!!!! It's perfect for making cards for either gender...and gonna be awesome when I need to make a masculine card. :)

CASADIA

Hi guys. So awhile back I was looking through the cards on a challenge blog, and clicking on various ones I loved to check out the cardmaker's blog. One particular card took me to a blog where the poster introduced me to CASADIA.

You haven't heard of it before either??? Well, it's this idea Wida over at Beachorado came up with. She started a blog where people CASE one another. It's really neat!! If you'd like more information or simply want to join in the fun, you can find all the information and see all the cards CAS(E)d so far right HERE.

So it all started with this card, created by Laura Bassen:

And the CASE chain continued for 37 cards...

...and today I get to CASE this card, created by Patti as my CASE inspiration:

To see all of the cards in the chain, pop over to Wida's Casadia Page!

....and here's what I came up with...

I Love You

Hi guys. It seems like everywhere you look these days there's hearts! Valentine's month...what can you expect. Love is soooo worth celebrating!

So anyways, I want to share with you a card I made. I saw a word card on a scrapbooking site and I absolutely fell in love with the card idea! I found a tutorial on how to create it -- it's a whole lot less complicated than it originally looks...and super fun to make as well!!! Here's the TUTORIAL if you're interested in seeing how it all works.

And here is my word card:

And here are some closeups of the details:
not a whole lot to it, 'cause I wanted to keep my first one simple...

So what do you think? Leave me a comment...

Trust in the Lord

Hi guys. I love scriptural or long quote stamps...although they seem to be hard to come by, unless you order them online. I'm still looking for a crafting store that sells them at a reasonable price. :p So when I found a word art designer who has a blog where she showcases her word arts...and allows you to download them for free (like wow!!!), I was totally impressed!!! That website was safely saved in my favourites tab in seconds!! LOL

"Are you intrigued??? Karen over at Papercraft Memories does just that. She designs word arts for Word Art Wednesday and recently started for Daydream Designs as well. Check out her blog...

Here's a recent card I made using one of her word art images.

I wanted the word art sentiment to be the main focus of the card. Using my Cuttlebug, I embossed two borders along the edge of the cardstock. Using some black bling, I accented the embossing a bit. Finally, I added a splash of colour behind the word art. It's very Clean and Simple, but I do love the way it turned out. :)

Love without Words

Hi guys. Can you believe it's February already?!! Seriously, time seems to be passing by soooooooo fast these days!!! Wasn't it only yesterday that we were celebrating the New Year?!! Totally nuts!!!

Anyways, in true February fashion...I decided to make a card to go with the month's theme. LOVE. Of course, that meant getting out the red ink...and a valentine/heart stamp...

I'm trying to use up scraps -- and this card was perfect for that. Using a Clear stamp I borrow, I stamped the heart image multiple times onto a strip of white cardstock. Then I layered the strip onto some red cardstock to bring out the red a bit.

Finally, I embossed some white cardstock with a Sizzex embossing folder called "Flower Rings & Clusters set". I was really impressed with how the embossing folder showed -- very deep groves! There's definitely a difference in Cuttlebug folders and Sizzex folders -- although I still love my Cuttlebug and wouldn't trade it! :)

I adhered my stamped strip onto the embossed cardbase...and there's my card. :) Clean and Simple....and perfectly LOVE-ly. :)

Thanks for dropping by my blog today. Be sure to leave a comment and I"ll drop by your blog as well. Have a fabulous day! :)
